To find these results, we analyzed data from over 30,000 Instagram posts from businesses of all sizes. Then, we consulted with our own social team for insights gained from posting to an audience of 170k followers.

We found that users of Instagram are most likely to interact during midday work and midweek. It makes sense – it’s a great time to scroll and take a break. (And liking. (And commenting.

Weekends tend to be the worst for posting and have low engagement on Instagram. This is probably because people are more likely to be out and about than scrolling through Instagram.

On Tuesday, 9:00 AM is the best time to upload on Instagram. The engagement is high between 8-10 am, but it peaks at around 9am.

Posting on Instagram is best on Wednesday

On Wednesday, 11:00 AM is the best time to post. Wednesday also seems to be the day when accounts get the most engagement.
