Hippo Video has worked hard to ensure that users have the best experience when creating videos, despite the increasing reliance on video content. We are pleased to announce feature enhancements to the iOS app version 2.0.

The latest version of the iOS app features many new features and enhancements that will ensure a more user-friendly and efficient experience. These enhancements can be divided into three main categories: screen recording and Siri shortcuts.

Hippo Video’s screen recorder is now available. Just a few clicks and you can capture the entire screen of your iPhone or iPad.

This update is a two-step process. You can either open the Hippo video app and hit record screen, or you can access it via your device’s control centre by swiping from the top-right corner. There will be a selection of screen recorders available to you. Select Hippo Video to start. Users will be able preview the video they have recorded and make any further edits before sharing it.

This feature makes recording easy and seamless thanks to its accessibility. You can quickly capture any activity on your phone in one tap. This is great for creating instructional videos and tutorials!

2. Siri shortcuts

Siri shortcuts can be a great way to save time and increase productivity while recording videos on the go. Hippo Video responds instantly to a voice command.

Users can save time and still produce high quality videos by creating voice-personalized shortcuts with Siri to help them do everyday tasks in Hippo Video. These tasks include using the teleprompter and video flows, recording video with your camera, and import video from iPhone/iPad.

Before Siri shortcuts were available, users had to manually search through Hippo Video to be able to carry out these activities. However, it is much quicker and easier to use voice commands to do any of these tasks.

Siri shortcuts can be extremely helpful for anyone who needs to create videos while on the go without spending too much time in navigating the app or typing commands.

3. Home screen

Our app has a new home screen. This allows users to quickly access five of the most popular options from one location. When you open the app, quick links will appear to screen record, screen record, screen record, import, teleprompter and video flows.

The user journey used to be quite complicated. It took six taps to access the floating +create icon and the default library landing page before any other actions could be taken. Users were therefore faced with an unpleasant experience.

We have created a home screen with intuitive features to make it easier for users of our app. This allows you to launch any of the five most requested functions in just two taps. This home screen is not only time-saving, efficient, but also provides a smoother user experience.
